Our mission is to place sound at the heart of the venue, treating it as an integral part of the experience. The goal is to deliver an immersive sonic identity, detailed and balanced within the space.
We have partnered with the Stockport-based, multi–award-winning audio team MasterSounds, known internationally for their boutique audio products. MasterSounds have created a custom Clarity M-1215 Audio System, designed and hand-finished to match Bar Shrimp’s aesthetic.
Music Director, Lukas Stankunas, will curate the music programming, bringing his multi-dimensional approach to sound as well as artists from around the UK and beyond.
MasterSounds founder Ryan Shaw:
“Bar Shrimp asked us to create an audio system that worked with their space and aesthetic; they wanted a system that could define the venue alongside the wonderful food and drink offerings. The Clarity M-1215 was the foundation, but the bespoke finish and fine-tuning make this installation completely unique to the venue.”
Meet Bar Shrimp’s Director of Music, Lukas Stankunas:
Raised in Lithuania for his formative teen years, Lukas crashed onto the Manchester scene in 2015, staying close to the underground pulse. Not focused on one genre, this music-head atmosphere birthed Lukas’ deep sonic futurism.
Stepping behind the decks for a guest spot at the infamous Homoelectric, this fast turned into an eight-year residency under the guidance and glory of Luke Una. His innate ability to make you feel what he feels has packed venues like The White Hotel, Hidden, SOUP, The Warehouse Project and The Love Inn.
Often sharing the bill with icons such as Prosumer, Maurice Fulton, Erol Alkan, The Blessed Madonna, Joe Goddard and DJ Paulette the experience threw him into the depths of the scene where his young visionary status was firmly established.
